William G. Dressel, Jr., Executive Director of the New Jersey State League of Municipalities received the Rutgers Award for Public Service to New Jersey from university President Richard L. McCormick. The presentation was held on November 14 at a Rutgers reception for alumni, colleagues, and friends during the League's annual conference in Atlantic City. Dressel was honored for “excellence in promoting and supporting municipal government” and for his dedication to improving New Jersey’s 566 diverse municipalities.
