THE BUREAU OF MUNICIPAL INFORMATION OFFERS LEGAL CONSULTATION WITH THE LEAGUE STAFF ATTORNEY
More and more League members are discovering a new resource at the Bureau of Municipal Information. The Bureau, headed by our staff attorney, Deborah Kole, now provides municipal officials and employees with legal knowledge and analysis to accompany the information and data that it has long made available. In the increasingly complex legal environment in which municipalities and their leaders operate today, this addition enriches the League’s capacity to support its members in their work.
So, if you have a legal issue, whether it concerns a conflict of interest question, the interpretation of a statute or regulation, or another municipal law subject, and you want an informal consultation with an attorney knowledgeable in municipal law, contact Deborah Kole, at the League, ex. 137, or at dkole@njslom.com. *Please note that the intent of this service is to provide a helpful consultation and not legal advice.
Along with this new service, the Bureau still has available for members the resources it has long offered, including:
- Ordinance Library and Consultation
- Ethics Resource Center
- Grant Resource Center
- Cable TV Resources
- Interlocal Service Cooperation and Management Advisory Service
- Fire and Police Arbitration Center
- Publications
- Specifications Service
